Spring Awakening

Spring makes me want to fling open every door and window to let the fresh air inside.  It makes me want to bring the outdoors in and buy flowers everyday.  Most of all, it makes me want to be outside as much as possible.  Well, except when it's cold and rainy like today but I'll definitely be out again tomorrow.  Happy Spring!

Spring Has Finally Sprung!

We interrupt our regularly scheduled Kips Bay Decorator Show House coverage to thank Mother Nature for hearing our pleas and warming up the New York weather! The sun is shining! The birds are chirping! The tulips on Park Avenue are blooming! I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present! Happy Spring!

Art Smart: April Ugallery Picks

I know I had a painting of cherry blossoms in last last month's Ugallery post but I couldn't resist posting another once since it's actually cherry blossom season in Washington, DC. That and the fact that the painting is ridiculously beautiful! In case there is someone who doesn't know about Ugallery, they sell affordable art by young student artists. You can also now email the artists with questions or commission requests through their portfolios on the Ugallery website. This month, I tried to choose art that reminded me of spring. Enjoy!
